I work as a freelance writer and photographer, creative consultant, and webmaster, as well as a graduate student of sustainable business practices. People often tell me that they cannot believe how I do everything I do but I tell them that I love it all so much, it’s usually seems more like fun than work. Variety is the spice.
I help run several small businesses, and manage a small team that handles a select assortment of projects. Although our technical expertise still shoulders the bulk of our client requests, with all the confusing, latest-greatest, rapidly-evolving technology and markets mumbo-jumbo these days, especially with the crazy economic situations, a greater share of our newest business comes from creating website and other effective marketing solutions for new and emerging businesses, along with a good share of corporate consulting. Lots of systems are in upheaval right now, and there’s money to be made doing the right things. I can clearly see a future of petro-alternatives and sustainability.
I also kindly insist everyone I work with, personally and professionally, to set aside approximately 100-200 individual and/or company hours per year either assisting or being directly involved with pro bono, charity, and work projects for educational groups, NGOs, and other public service organizations. We gladly accept proposals, and find time to take on a variety of volunteer and community projects.
