Photos 1 - 38 out of 38 | Back to Albums
field expedient... the bike and six months of gear crammed in ther purty good.... Queen Baba and Boom are very excite bullet-resistant doors.... you never know these days...
The bus is near ready... fresh url, mount the spare tire and gas on the nose, fill up the growlers, dry-ice for food cooler, and big bin for the 140 tie-dyed t-shirts for misc barter and gas money... yeah, that's totally gypsy of me, but hey look who's laughing now... Betty the Bus running like a champ in the land of green. One of my and my dogs' favorite parks in the country is in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, on the Plover River...
Boom, the waterdog "yo dude, throw me the damn tennis ball already, my crazy sister keeps getting them" Boom on point...
Baba could find the tennis ball so well camoflauged in the small lily pads of northern Wisconsin lakes... Loons in the lake at Camp B Walking to the Saloon near Camp B...
she's a looker the dogs love to swim and then roll around in the grass... lover Boom...
Aaron, Paco, and Patrick playing some tunes down by the pond on Alison's Farm... What an amazing, private, beautiful area. Earlier, I had watched Alison's parents catch 20-30 bass, bluegills, and crappies. The pond is about 4 acres, and Justin showed me some pictures of several bass in the 8 to 10 pound range... A friend's 8-year old boy named Troy, played in the peewee league all-star tournament, watches the hitter from third base. It's amazing the quality of play for a bunch of 8-year olds! One of the tournament umpires... He botched a couple of calls, and I thought briefly a couple of the parents were going to rush the field... My friends especially liked his multi-colored beard.
Rothbury balloon the Dead on the fourth of july... Rothbury Festival was advertised as a "sustainable" event... besides the plastic cups and utensils made from corn, thus compostable, some festival-goers certainly did their part...
Sister and I survived the Rothbury Festival, and each saw over a dozen amazing bands... what a fun Fourth of July weekend... Just landed off the SS Badger ferry across Lake Michigan, waiting for a friend to meet up in Manitowoc.... no immediate plans as of now, except to pick up the dogs and find a swimming hole to beat the heat... DJ the Dead play Rothbury, on the fourth of July...
tie-dye long-johns with flexible neon... the naked hippies... Umphreys McGee
Brendan Bayliss of Umphreys McGee Umphreys McGee Umphreys McGee
One of the better bands at Rothbury -- Umphreys McGee Umphreys McGee Boom looks out at his speck of a sister swimming in windy Clear Lake.
sweet flag truck at Rumorz, local bar in Clear Lake, Iowa... Mararishi temples in Fairfield, Iowa.... beautiful old Victorian home in Ottumwa, Iowa...
